What is Cisco ISE?

Cisco ISE (Identity Services Engine) is Cisco's network access control (NAC) and policy platform. It authenticates and authorises every device and user connecting to the network, across wired, wireless, and VPN, using 802.1X, profiling, and posture checks, ensuring only known, compliant endpoints gain the access they are entitled to.

ISE delivers guest and BYOD onboarding portals, device profiling that identifies what is connecting, posture assessment of endpoint health, and TACACS+ for device administration. By enforcing segmentation and least-privilege access centrally, ISE helps Zimbabwean organisations meet security and compliance requirements while improving visibility into who and what is on the network.
